Vijayadashmi

The tenth day is Vijayadashmi.  This culminates the 10-day worship of the different forms of the Divine Mother Goddess.  It marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahisasur, who she later grants pardon.  The significance of this is that, whoever can achieve complete acceptance of all aspects of their self – good and bad, can destroy the demon within them.  The same negative aspects that affect your life, can become a companion towards spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Shubho Vijayadashmi (May you have a Blessed Vijayadashmi)
