Navaratri – Day 9

The ninth day is dedicated to Maa Siddhidaatri.  In this form, She is worshiped by Lord Shiva to become the form of Goddess Ardhnarishwara.  The Goddess Shakti then appeared from the left side of Lord Shiva.  She is also the symbol of wealth and worldly happiness.

Mantra: Ya Devi Sarvbhuteshu Lakshmi Roopen Samsthita; Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah; Namastestu Mahamaye Shreepeethe Surpoojite; Shankhachakragadahaste Mahalakshmi Namostute.

Translation: May the ever victorious Siddhidayini Ma Durga, who is always worshipped by the hordes of siddha, gandharva, yaksha, asura, and Deva, bestow success at my every venture.
